Serving the Community Since 1985

BEELONG Adult Day Services is operated by Alternative Care Concepts, Inc. We are a non-profit organization providing adult day service programs for impaired individuals unable to care for themselves at home during the day. BEELONG was founded in 1985 and currently has centers located throughout Bucks and Montgomery counties.

BEELONG provides supervised activities and social interaction in secure surroundings to meet the diverse capabilities and personal preferences of dependent older adults. The family/caregivers are given help and relief so that they might pursue their daily lives and livelihoods.

From its inception, the agency has been licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Aging. We have been a member agency of United Way of Bucks County since 1996. In June 2000, the organization met national standards for Adult Day Service Programs and was one of the first programs throughout the United States to be awarded accreditation from CARF, The Rehabilitation Accreditation Commission.

Funding for ongoing operations comes from client service fees as well as from the Bucks County Area Agency on Aging; Montgomery County Adult and Aging Services; Bucks County Department of Mental Health / Mental Retardation; Department of Veterans Affairs and the United Way of Bucks County.

Over the years, the agency has grown from providing services for five clients with a budget of $5,000 and a very basic program, into an organization that has provided services for over 500 clients with an annual budget of $1.5 million. The level and type of programming also has expanded to include increased services and the ability to serve more medically involved clients, who are experiencing more challenges and require a higher degree of care.
